Mighty Hoopla 2023: A time to lose your inhibitions!

Stepping into a disco crazy, glitter galore world that has no bounds – that’s the enchanting Mighty Hoopla! The festival, a place of acceptation, embracing difference and love, was one of our summer highlights. Nestled among the UK’s pop festivals, Mighty Hoopla is one of the best, standing out for its unique flair and for doing things slightly differently. Let’s take a moment to rewind and relive some of the most dazzling moments.

Imagine a stage graced by the likes of former Destiny’s Child singer Kelly Rowland, the renowned Years & Years, Murder On The Dancefloor hitmaker Sophie Ellis-Bextor and the one and only Natasha Bedingfield.

The amazing acts played their hearts out to the vibrant crowds and created an electric atmosphere. Amidst the incredible line-up, we made and served a whopping 18,435 delicious cocktails and 2,155 glasses of champagne to keep the beautiful Mighty Hoopla babes refreshed. To keep the groove going without being halted for too long, we used an EPoS card system to help provide swift and seamless drink purchases.

And the fun didn’t stop there – sustainability also took centre stage! To reduce the festivals environmental footprint, no single-use plastic was used and impressively we managed to send back a staggering 292,546 aluminium cans for recycling. It’s also worth highlighting that our dedication to environmental consciousness also extended to our carbon footprint. With a remarkable 30% reduction in the CO2 footprint per drink, festival goers could really let loose with no guilty conscience. You could also spot recycling crusaders, with backpacks resembling huge cans, roaming the festival, encouraging everyone to play their part in recycling responsibly.

Mighty Hoopla has become something so much more than just a festival, it has become a distinctive niche in the festival world. Beyond its headliner acts, there’s so much more to do and see, for example, the ‘Glitterbox’ area, a party haven, and the ‘Popstars and Queers’ tent where extraordinary drag performances take place. The festival stands as a magical sanctuary, a celebration of the queer culture, where love knows no bounds. We were over the moon to be involved in such a fantastic weekend and we will be eagerly waiting for next year!
