One of the largest greenfield events in the UK, the sheer scale of the operation is a challenge we relish. Overall, at BST, we operate 40+ bars with 300+ meters of serving space, and manage up to 1,200 members of staff whilst running a variety of large-scale activations.
The show operates from 2pm until 11pm, so this presents a steady flow until the main acts start around 8pm when we start to see heavy hits at the bars.
In 2023 BST welcomed acts; Pink, Billy Joel, Black Pink, Lana Del Ray, Guns and Roses and Bruce Springsteen. Previous headliners include; Roger Waters, Paul Simon, Adele, The Cure, Michael Bublé and The Rolling Stones bringing in 65,000 guests per day over 2 weekends (9 show days).
The most unique challenge at BST is the variety of acts headlining, which of course translates into very different drink choices and spending patterns. Operating under the pressure to forecast correctly for each different scenario and to remain flexible in the field to cope with the demands of each night, has ensured we have become one of the safest and most robust operators in the industry.
