Riverside East is a 1,000-capacity venue in the heart of Stratford’s Olympic Park, made up of a premium terrace, a flexible bar/café space, and a large outdoor area ideal for activations and events. With views over the water and a mix of indoor and outdoor options, it’s a standout space for everything from brand takeovers to private parties.
Peppermint Bars & Events is now looking for a Venue Sales Manager to support on driving commercial success and help realise the full potential of this unique venue.
Reporting into the Head of Sales, you’ll be responsible for executing the sales strategy, building strong client relationships, and proactively targeting new business across corporate, private, brand, and cultural sectors, all with the goal of hitting revenue and profit targets.

Key Responsibilities
Execute the sales strategy set by the Head of Sales, bringing your insight and input to help shape its success.
Grow the client database, from direct corporates to creative agencies through to promotors.
Identify and convert new business across events, partnerships, and brand activations, always seeking opportunities to grow the venue’s pipeline.
Drive proactive sales activity, including outreach, networking, prospecting, and attending industry events.
Manage all leads and activity, ensuring accurate and timely data recording and reporting.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and partners, ensuring excellent service from enquiry to delivery.
Lead client site visits, articulating the venue’s offer, layout, supplier options, and logistical considerations.
Contribute to the negotiation and conversion of contracts, supporting high-value opportunities as needed.
Champion and implement marketing initiatives to support sales, working alongside internal and external teams.
Ensure all sales operations meet the highest standards of professionalism, accuracy, and guest experience.
Achieve and exceed sales targets and KPIs, consistently monitoring performance against agreed business metrics.
Work alongside the venue operations team to ensure successful event delivery and handovers.
Key Skills & Experience
Demonstrated experience in outbound business development and managing the full sales lifecycle, from prospecting to closing.
3-4 years’ experience in a client-facing, sales manager role, ideally within events, hospitality, experiential marketing or similar.
Proven track record of consistently achieving or exceeding revenue targets and driving business growth.
Strong commercial awareness and business development mindset
Confident communicator and relationship-builder
Experience with CRM systems and sales performance tracking
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
Comfortable conducting site visits and selling creatively
Experience managing high-value clients and complex bookings
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with wider teams

Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.
Travel required to and from events if required. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.
Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary.
