WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a motivated, proactive Technical Coordinator to support our Technical Department. This role is essential to support the business, staff and continued future development.You’ll handle key coordination and 1st line technical support tasks. Working closely with multiple departments, you will play a hands-on role of the delivery and preparation of technical equipment to support our staff, festivals, events and external clients. A positive attitude, strong organisational skills, and a willingness to learn are crucial. Our success is built on passion, innovation, teamwork, and sustainability, and as we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Technical Coordinator who will play a key role in supporting our projects, ensuring smooth operations, and helping deliver exceptional experiences at some of the UK’s most exciting events

 

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

Front-line tech support & triage

  • Act as first point of contact for all Peppermint tech requirements, triaging and resolving day-to-day issues.
  • Provide remote support to head office and onsite teams using appropriate tools, escalating complex issues where required.
  • Assist the Tech Department with internal IT issues and basic troubleshooting across iOS, Android and Windows devices.

 

Deployment & coordination of tills, event tech and hardware

  • Plan and coordinate deployment of tills and associated tech kit from the warehouse for events.
  • Lead on programming and oversight of EPOS deployment from the warehouse, working alongside the other departments to ensure accurate, timely set-up.
  • Build EPOS menus from templates, ensure devices are correctly configured, and assist with any in-event menu or pricing changes as required.
  • Co-ordinate with food team / clients / traders for EPOS specifications and menus.
  • Configure and control devices via MDM solutions to ensure apps, settings and permissions are correct prior to dispatch and on return.
  • Assist onsite events where required.
  • Co-ordinate casual tech support staff within the warehouse.
  • Co-ordinate deployment of laptops and other hardware.

 

Data, systems & reporting support

  • Support the set-up and maintenance of online forms, dashboards and other event systems so they are live, tested and ready ahead of deadlines.
  • Maintain standard reporting templates (e.g. end-of-night flash reports) and ensure data is correctly pulled from EPOS and other systems for use by Project Managers and head office teams.
  • Keep event spreadsheets and system logs up to date, supporting the Stock team and other departments with accurate data for GP, loss-prevention and reconciliation.

           

Asset, paperwork & process control

  • Assist with asset tracking of all company-owned hardware (tills, tablets, networking kit, laptops etc), ensuring serials, locations and status are accurately logged and maintained.
  • Oversee logging and use of ‘paperwork’ systems and digital forms so event and head-office teams are following agreed processes.
  • Coordinate critical warehouse operations for kit preparation, testing and dispatch, including opportunities to generate hire revenue from owned kit.
  • Undertake technical equipment maintenance with appropriate training.

 

Systems development & training (supporting role)

  • Work with the EPOS Project Manager and Head of Tech & Innovation to implement improvements to existing systems and support roll-out of new tools and integrations.
  • Support the creation of Standard operating procedures, user guides and training for staff on systems and procedures managed by the Technical Department.
  • Provide support for tenders and client pitches where technical systems, reporting and data are in scope.
  • Lead on in person and group technical training

 

Working Hours & Requirements

  • Normal place of work: Warehouse – Wellesbourne.
  • Standard working hours: – Monday–Friday, 10am–6pm (flexible hours available).
  • Warehouse working times: Monday–Friday, 8am-4pm.
  • Attendance at our London – Kennington Office as and when required.
  • Some onsite presence may be required throughout the summer and winter season.
  • Some evening and weekend work may be required during peak months (April – September) to hit delivery deadlines.

KNOWLEDGE/ EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

We’ll provide full training, so experience is helpful but not required. What’s most important is your enthusiasm for the events industry and your eagerness to learn. Some knowledge of networking and Azure AD / Microsoft Entra / Microsoft 365 would be preferable, however not essential.

You’ll work closely with the EPOS Project Manager and Head of Technical & Innovation, who will support your growth and guide you through each stage of project delivery.

 

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION

  • Firm understanding of technology and systems.
  • Good organisational skills

  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred

  • A full clean driving licence
  • Experience in the technical industry / support role.
  • Experience with epos software such as Dines, Square, Bleep / Global Payments.
  • Basic understanding of network setups.
  • Basic understanding of Azure AD / Microsoft Entra / Microsoft 365.
  • 1–2 years’ experience in an administrative or coordination role within a fast-paced environment
  • Undergraduate degree in relevant field (or equivalent experience)

Business Specific Requirements

Operating Environment & Context

Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.

Travel & Other Requirements

Travel required to and from events if required. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.

Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.

Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary.
