The Wimbledon Championships, established in 1877, stands as the epitome of tennis excellence and sporting tradition. Dates: Wimbledon Championships 2024 takes place this year from 1 July 2024 to 14 July 2024.

 

Rate- £16.81ph, Including Holiday Pay

 

Job Overview:

We are looking to add to our already existing great team to join us at the world-renowned Wimbledon event as a Premium Bartender.

Join our exclusive team to deliver exceptional beverage service, creating a sophisticated and memorable atmosphere for patrons. We are seeking skilled bartenders who understand the art of providing a world-class service at this prestigious sporting event.

 

Responsibilities:

Craftsmanship – Showcase your expertise by creating a range of premium drinks with precision, using high-quality ingredients and impeccable presentation.

Guest Interaction – Engage with patrons in a professional and friendly manner, ensuring a personalized and memorable experience for every guest.

Menu Expertise – Familiarize yourself with the premium beverage menu, offering recommendations and showcasing an in-depth knowledge of wines, spirits, and cocktails.

Upselling – Drive revenue by promoting premium offerings and upselling to enhance the overall guest experience.

Efficiency – Work seamlessly within a fast-paced environment, maintaining composure during peak hours and ensuring timely service.

Bar Presentation – Contribute to keeping the bar area immaculate, organized, and aesthetically pleasing.

Experience Required:

  • Proven experience as a premium bartender, preferably in high-end hospitality or events.
  • Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to cater to expectations
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and collaborate with the team.
  • Knowledge of premium wines, spirits, and champagne brands.
  • Mixology/Cocktail experience is preferred but not mandatory

 

Working Conditions:

The position requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the event schedule.

  • No accommodation or camping options are provided at this event.
  • If selected for an interview, this will be conducted either face to face at our Peppermint Office in London or over Teams Video call.
  • Onsite training will be provided with ourselves, as well as the Wimbledon Team

Business Specific Requirements

Operating Environment & Context

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.

Travel & Other Requirements

Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.

Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
