Junior Graphic Designer

We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join a vibrant events company over the course of our busy Summer period. Peppermint provide high-performance bar and event solutions to the world’s best entertainment businesses and consumer brands. Our core business is operating festival & event bars, brand activation and conjoined retail-led F&B solutions to the UK’s best festivals and outdoor events such as British Summer Time, Radio 1 Big Weekend, Camp Bestival, All Points East and many more.

The recent partnership with Levy (Compass UK) has lead our established business into new sectors within sports and stadium arena across the UK and Ireland at world class venues such as the 02 Arena, Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Cheltenham Racecourse, Aviva Stadium and Wimbledon.

We are seeking a dynamic, highly organized and creative individual who will be responsible for the creation of all bar menus and signage content mainly across our festivals portfolio, with the view to expand on side projects we operate depending on capacity. The individual will work collaboratively with the project and account management teams to create designs and deliver menu proofs in a timely fashion to clients.

Key Accountabilities

• Creation of menus and signage in a timely fashion, working across multiple briefs at once
• Ability to use creative skills to design menus from scratch, using events brand guidelines and Project Managers brief as a guide
• Proof read menus and signage before these are sent to Peppermint Account Manager/Project Manager POC, who will then share this with the client
• Source printing quotes and liaise with suppliers, working within the allocated budget and ensuring on time delivery to event sites

If working remotely, the role will require working independently of co-workers and primarily communicating via slack chat and teams meetings. However, you will still be fully supported and there will be constant open communication channels. The right person for the role will be empowered by this approach to team dynamics.

Working Hours
Monday – Friday
Hours are 9am – 5pm but days and hours are flexible subject to candidates needs and employer discretion. Work may be required outside of these working hours if last minute changes are required to menus and signage leading up to deadlines.

Contract Type FTC- 5 months

Salary- £29,450.00 Pro Rata

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
DESIRED:
• Undergraduate degree
• Skills in auto CAD

Business Specific Requirements

Operating Environment & Context

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.

Travel & Other Requirements

Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.

Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
