Fork Lift Driver- Summer Festivals 2026

Role Overview

As an Onsite Festival Forklift Driver, you’ll play a crucial behind-the-scenes role in delivering successful festivals and events. You’ll be responsible for safely transporting equipment, stock, and materials across busy event sites, supporting build, stock, and operations teams throughout event setup, live periods, and breakdowns.

This role is ideal for a skilled, reliable forklift operator who is confident working in dynamic outdoor environments, understands the importance of safety, and can adapt quickly as site priorities change. When you are not required to be in the forks, you would be expected to join the build crew team while bar builds. Please note that this will involved manual handling and heavy lifting.

Key Responsibilities

  • – Operate forklifts safely to move, load, and unload equipment, stock, and materials across the festival site.
  • -Transport supplies accurately to designated locations, supporting build, stock, and bar operations.
  • – Conduct routine equipment checks and report any faults or safety concerns immediately.
  • – Follow all health & safety regulations, site rules, and traffic management plans.
  • – Communicate clearly with logistics, build, and stock teams regarding material movements and priorities.
  • – Support the wider onsite team with additional tasks when required, demonstrating flexibility and teamwork.
  • – Assist during build and breakdown periods to ensure efficient site operations.
  • – Night shifts on our large scale events, where over night re stocking is required.

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • – Valid forklift operator certification with a minimum of 1 year’s onsite experience.
  • – Proven track record of safe forklift operation.
  • – Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within festivals, events, or outdoor sites.
  • – Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
  • – Good physical fitness and stamina for outdoor work and long shifts.
  • – High attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments.

Working Environment

Peppermint Events is a seasonal business, with peak demand between June and September. This role involves working outdoors in varied weather conditions, long shifts, and flexible schedules based on event build, live days, and breakdown requirements.

Camping is available at some events. If camping, you’ll need to bring your own tent and equipment.
