Fork Lift Driver- Summer Festivals 2024

Job Overview:
Become a key player in the behind-the-scenes magic of festivals as our Onsite Festival Forklift Driver. In this crucial role, you’ll be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of equipment, supplies, stock, and materials, ensuring the smooth operations of our festival setup. We’re seeking a skilled and reliable forklift driver to join our team and contribute to the success of our dynamic events.

Responsibilities:

Equipment Handling: Operate a forklift to move, load, and unload materials, ensuring the safe transport of equipment and supplies throughout the festival site.

Material Transportation: Transport materials, supplies, stock and equipment to various festival locations, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, conducting routine equipment checks, and reporting any issues promptly to ensure a secure festival environment.

Communication: Work closely with the logistics team, providing updates on material movement, and collaborating to address any challenges that may arise during the festival setup.

Adaptability: Be prepared to assist in various onsite tasks as needed, showcasing flexibility and a willingness to contribute to the overall success of the festival.

Qualifications:

• Valid forklift operator certification and a proven track record of safe forklift operation. (1 year minimum)
• Experience in a similar role, preferably in a festival or event setup environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
• Physical fitness and stamina, as the role involves outdoor work and lifting heavy objects.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic festival environment.

Working Conditions:
This role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, irregular schedules based on festival timings, and the physical demands of forklift operation.

OPERATING ENVIRONMENT & CONTEXT:
The business is seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy – busiest periods between June and September. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals and camping onsite is available, please note, you will need to provide your own tent and camping supplies.

Business Specific Requirements

Operating Environment & Context

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.

Travel & Other Requirements

Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.

Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
