Role Overview:
Join our dynamic team and become an integral part of the behind-the-scenes operations at festivals as an Onsite Festival Forklift Driver. In this vital role, you will ensure the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, supplies, stock, and materials across the festival site, contributing to the smooth setup and success of the event.
We are seeking a skilled, dependable forklift driver with the expertise to ensure smooth operations while maintaining the highest safety standards.
Equipment Handling: Operate a forklift to safely move, load, and unload materials, ensuring secure transport across the festival site.
Material Transportation: Transport supplies, stock, and equipment to various locations on site, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and regulations, conduct routine equipment checks, and report any issues promptly to maintain a secure environment.
Communication: Work closely with the logistics team, providing regular updates on material movements and collaborating to resolve any challenges that arise during setup.
Adaptability: Assist with a range of onsite tasks as needed, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to the overall success of the festival.
Essential:
-Valid forklift operator certification and a proven track record of safe forklift operation (minimum of 1 year).
-Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a festival or event setup environment.
-Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse team.
-Physical fitness and stamina, as the job involves outdoor work and the handling of heavy equipment.
-Attention to detail and the ability to perform efficiently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
This role requires working outdoors in various weather conditions, standing for long periods, and adapting to flexible schedules based on festival timings.
Operating Environment and Context: Our business is seasonal, with peak demand during the summer months—particularly between June and September. Many of our events take place outdoors, and camping is available for onsite events. Please note, for camping events, you’ll need to bring your own tent and camping gear.

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.
Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.
Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
