Event Runner- Summer Festivals 2026

Event Runner (Seasonal)

Role Overview

As an Event Runner, you’ll be a key part of the onsite operations team, supporting bars and event teams with a wide range of essential tasks. This is a fast-paced, hands-on role where no two shifts are the same, and adaptability is crucial.

You may be required to work across multiple departments, including the stock team, technical department, and — when required — providing direct support on the bars. You’ll work both independently and as part of a wider team, responding to live radio calls, prioritising tasks, and ensuring jobs are completed efficiently and to a high standard.

This role involves heavy lifting, long hours on your feet, and working both day and night shifts, so physical stamina, strong time management, and a proactive, can-do attitude are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • – Deliver stock, consumables, staff food and packed lunches to bars and departments as required
  • – Carry out basic DIY and on-the-spot fixes at bars (e.g. securing equipment, signage, or minor repairs)
  • – Provide prompt assistance with operational issues, including till or equipment problems
  • – Support the stock team with moving, organising, and replenishing stock
  • – Support the technical department with equipment movement, setup, and troubleshooting where required
  • – Provide support on bars when needed, under the direction of Bar Management
  • – Ensure all bars have the correct signage and paperwork displayed; install or replace missing items
  • – Collect, transport, and distribute paperwork, radios, and keys across site
  • – Assist Bar Managers with end-of-night closing procedures, including stock counts
  • – Move stock, equipment, and supplies safely around the site, including heavy lifting
  • – Provide general event support and complete ad hoc tasks as directed
  • – Assist with receiving deliveries and loading/unloading trucks
  • – Use company vehicles to travel off-site and collect stock or essential items during live events when required
  • – Respond promptly to radio calls and keep track of multiple tasks, ensuring jobs are completed in a timely manner
  • – Plan tasks efficiently by grouping jobs in the same area to streamline work and minimise unnecessary trips

Skills, Knowledge & Experience

Essential

  • – Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
  • – Strong timekeeping and reliability
  • – Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • – Ability to prioritise tasks and adapt quickly in a live event environment
  • – Strong physical stamina, including heavy lifting and long periods on your feet
  • – Confident communication skills with a strong command of English
  • – Friendly, polite, and professional attitude
  • – Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly under pressure
  • – Full, clean driving licence

Working Environment

Peppermint Events is a seasonal business, with peak demand between June and September. This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, long shifts, and both day and night work depending on event schedules.

Camping is available at some events. If camping, you’ll need to bring your own tent and equipment.
