Role Overview:
Event Runners are the essential backbone of the onsite operations team, providing vital event support and handling various ad hoc tasks. These tasks vary depending on the specific event and the department you are supporting. This fast-paced role requires flexibility, strong physical stamina, excellent time-keeping skills, and the ability to adapt quickly to changing demands.
You will be working long hours, including day and night shifts, with each day presenting new challenges. The ideal candidate must be able to thrive in high-pressure environments and maintain a positive, “can-do” attitude throughout.
-Ensure that bars are equipped with the necessary supplies and deliver stock top-ups as required.
-Provide prompt support for fixing issues at the bars, such as addressing till malfunctions.
-Collect and distribute paperwork and keys as needed.
-Assist bar managers with closing procedures at the end of the night, including stock counting.
-Distribute and display menus across the site.
-Move and deliver stock throughout the event site as necessary.
-Provide general event support, performing ad hoc tasks as directed.
-Assist with receiving deliveries.
-Help with the loading and unloading of trucks.
Essential:
-A flexible and adaptable approach to work.
-Strong physical stamina, as the role involves long hours and heavy lifting.
-Ability to work effectively in a team and follow instructions carefully.
-Excellent interpersonal skills, with a strong command of the English language.
-Friendly, polite, and helpful attitude.
-Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think quickly on your feet.
This is a seasonal role with the busiest periods between June and September. Most of the events are outdoors, including festivals, where onsite camping is available. Please note that you will need to bring your own tent and camping supplies.

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.
Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.
Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
