Role Overview

As a Festival Cocktail Bartender, you’ll be right at the heart of the action, crafting high-quality cocktails and delivering standout service in lively festival environments. You’ll help create the atmosphere, engage with festival-goers, and ensure every drink meets Peppermint’s standards, even during the busiest trading periods.

This role is ideal for passionate, confident bartenders who love cocktails, thrive in fast-paced settings, and enjoy being part of a team that brings festivals to life.

What We’re Looking For

Passion for Cocktails & Mixology: You genuinely enjoy making great drinks and keeping up with current cocktail trends, techniques, and flavours.

Confident & Social: You’re comfortable engaging with festival-goers, bringing energy, warmth, and personality to every interaction.

Adaptable & Resilient: Festivals move fast. You stay calm under pressure, adapt quickly to changing demands, and keep service flowing.

Team Player: You understand that great service is a team effort and are always ready to support fellow bartenders and managers.

Reliable & Hardworking: Long shifts and busy service periods don’t faze you, you turn them into opportunities to shine.

Key Responsibilities

  • – Prepare and serve a wide range of cocktails efficiently while maintaining quality and consistency
  • – Deliver friendly, engaging service that enhances the festival experience for customers
  • – Adapt to high-volume service and changing demands throughout live events
  • – Work collaboratively with the bar team to deliver festival-specific cocktail menus
  • – Maintain a clean, organised, and visually appealing bar at all times
  • – Follow all health & safety requirements, licensing laws, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
  • – Support setup, restocking, and breakdown of the bar as required

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • – Previous experience as a bartender, ideally in festivals, events, or high-volume environments
  • – Strong knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktails
  • – Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • – Ability to work efficiently under pressure in fast-paced settings
  • – Professional, positive, and reliable attitude

Working Environment

Peppermint Events is a seasonal business, with peak demand between June and September. This role involves working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing for long periods, and working flexible schedules based on festival trading hours.

Camping is available at some events. If camping, you’ll need to bring your own tent and equipment.
