Epos Manager- Summer Festivals 2026

Role Title: EPOS Manager Location: Various – UK

Purpose

The EPOS Department provides the equipment and systems an event requires both internally for Peppermint and externally for food traders and other revenue partners. This can include EPOS, internet provisions and various control systems amongst other functions.

It is our responsibility to plan, install and implement these services to the event deadlines. We monitor and provide support during the event and pack up the event when it ends.

EPOS Manager oversees the entire EPOS departments operations and staff onsite. They ensure all procedures are being followed correctly, troubleshoot issues that occur, spend time planning future events and oversee the EPOS departments welfare.

 

The Role

Key Tasks:

– Managing all members of the EPOS team onsite
– Liaising with event managers, project managers and directors
– Oversee all data requirements for an event including digital vouchers, EPOS programming, spreadsheet creations
– Oversee all hardware requirements and onsite support
– Managing the loss prevention process for the event
– Liaising with event management regarding extra equipment and opening/closing procedures
– Ensure all digital processes are being carried out across departments
– Checking data staff are keeping all systems up to date
– Ensuring the end of the night/start of day flash reports are sent promptly
– Liaising with the stock data manager to ensure they are up to date with spreadsheets and reporting
– Liaising with 3rd party suppliers like internet providers to ensure our networks working correctly
– Asset reconciliation reports regarding breakages & losses for Peppermint & external EPOS users
– Voucher & Cash reconciliation against EPOS data
– Lead training & event briefings relating to EPOS
– Managing external EPOS sign in & out – i.e. traders
– Cash Responsible individual on site.
– Ensuring Health and Safety Processes are in place, including relevant ad-hoc Risk assessments.
– Pull any Ad-hoc reporting as required by Stakeholders
– Support Data team in management of Dashboards
– Manage/ Liase with Security teams as required.

Essential Knowledge, Experience, Skills & Characteristics

Essential Experience & Skills: Someone who has experience…

– Working in an event environment
– Excellent knowledge of POS systems (preferably Square)
– managing and planning for large teams of twenty plus
– Working with recent and current generation IOS, Android and Windows hardware and software
– In Office 365 and Google Workspace (especially Excel and Sheets)
– With communicating effectively whilst under pressure
– Logistical, operational and/or production event experience
– Basic networking and internet device management
– A full clean driving licence
– Ability to adapt to fast pace environments,
– Solutions driven

Preferred Experience & Skills: Someone who has…

– Previous event manager experience
– Confident driving cars, pickup trucks and vans on the road and at event sites
– Financial and/or accounts experience
– Management of technical or operational teams
– Experience working with event food traders

Working Environment

Peppermint Events is a seasonal business, with peak demand between June and September. This role involves working outdoors in varied weather conditions, long shifts, and flexible schedules across build days, show days, and breakdown periods.

Recruitment & Interview Process

Interviews will take place between January and March. If you are successful in being selected for an interview, you will be contacted directly. If you have not heard from us within 14 days, please assume you have not been selected on this occasion. All interviews will be conducted via Microsoft Teams, and video will be required.

If successful, event bookings typically begin from late April to early May, depending on event schedules. Shifts are usually allocated around six weeks before each event goes live, and availability will be confirmed at that stage.
