Role Overview

We are seeking skilled Cocktail Bartenders to join our premium hospitality team at the world-renowned Wimbledon Championships.

This role combines the art of cocktail creation with the highest standards of service, delivering beautifully crafted drinks in a refined, fast-paced environment. You will be responsible for producing consistent, high-quality cocktails while providing a polished, professional, and welcoming experience for every guest.

This position is ideal for bartenders who are passionate about cocktails, confident working to exacting standards, and proud to represent a globally prestigious event.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • -Prepare and serve a range of premium cocktails with precision, consistency, and attention to detail
  • -Deliver exceptional, professional service in line with Wimbledon’s premium hospitality standards
  • -Engage with guests confidently and courteously, creating a calm, sophisticated, and memorable experience
  • -Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the cocktail menu, ingredients, and presentation standards
  • -Work efficiently during peak service periods while maintaining composure and accuracy
  • -Uphold immaculate bar presentation, cleanliness, and organisation at all times
  • -Collaborate effectively with fellow bartenders, managers, and wider hospitality teams
  • -Follow all licensing laws, health & safety procedures, and responsible alcohol service guidelines
  • -Support bar setup, restocking, and service flow as required

 

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • -Previous experience as a cocktail bartender in premium hospitality, events, or high-volume environments
  • -Strong knowledge of classic cocktails and core mixology techniques
  • -Ability to deliver consistent quality under pressure
  • -Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • -Professional, reliable, and well-presented at all times
  • -Experience working with premium spirits, champagne, and high-end beverage brands
  • -Cocktail or mixology-focused experience within events or hospitality settings

 

Working Conditions

  • -Flexibility is required to work across the Wimbledon event schedule
  • -This role involves long periods standing and working in a busy, service-led environment
  • -No accommodation or camping is provided for this event
  • -Onsite & Online training will be provided by Peppermint Events and the Wimbledon team

 

Recruitment & Interview Process

  • -Interviews will be conducted either face-to-face at the Peppermint Office in London or via Microsoft Teams (video required).
  • -The recruitment process will consist of two stages:

 

Stage One: An initial interview to discuss your experience, skills, and suitability for the role.

Stage Two: A practical interview held at one of our venues, where you will be asked to demonstrate your cocktail skills and product knowledge.

 

Successful candidates will receive a full event briefing and comprehensive onsite training prior to their shifts.

Business Specific Requirements

Operating Environment & Context

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.

Travel & Other Requirements

Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.

Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
