Peppermint Events are excited to offer a new opportunity at Battersea Power Station, Arcade X! This new venture will envision Battersea Power Station to be a premier destination for London’s outdoor F&B and entertainment scene. This area will encompass a range of bars and food activations, with a covered seating area and a large summer fanzone space. These bars are situated on the historic Coaling Jetty, in Front of the Grade 11* listed Power Station. With Stunning Thames views and sophisticated river lounge vibes. 



We are seeking enthusiastic bartenders to join the team at Battersea Power Station. Working as part of our bar team is a varied role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, engaging with the public, and ensuring a memorable experience for all customers. You will report directly to the bar manager and during your shift you must fulfill your role and ensure you are presenting a positive image, being polite and friendly, and conducting yourself professionally. Potential candidates must have great physical stamina, great time-keeping skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The hours are flexible but can also be demanding.

Venue opening: May 25th 2024 


Bar Operations

-Taking beverage orders from customers and serving drinks as requested, paying extreme attention to detail.

-Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for customers.

-Mixing beverages where required, using a range of ingredients.

-Having full knowledge of the drink specifications served at the venue

Restocking and replenishing bar inventory and supplies.

-Keeping your workstation clean and tidy at all times.

Complying with all food and beverage regulations.

-Operating a challenge 25 policy on all transactions.

-Correctly using the till system to record sales.


Customer Service

-Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations/upselling.

-Interacting with customers, taking orders and satisfying their requests in a timely manner.

-Staying guest focused and nurturing an excellent guest experience.

-We work in a fast-paced environment, and we have to cover a lot of ground. It is expected that you work with a sense of urgency and take pride in the levels of service that you are giving both to our customers and to our vendors.

-Someone who has a love for all things drink, whether your passion be for craft beer, cocktails or artisan spirits

-Knowledge of beers, wines, spirits & classic cocktails.

-Experience working in a fast-paced environment

-Can work well under pressure

-Excellent problem-solving skills, adaptable and flexible

-Someone who takes pride in themselves and their work

Business Specific Requirements

Operating Environment & Context

The business is very seasonal. Summer months are incredibly busy, with the busiest periods between May to September, and the month December. Many event sites are outdoor events and festivals on weekends.

Travel & Other Requirements

Travel required to and from events if required during the summer months. It is expected that you will visit certain events to assist the onsite teams, provide in person training and feedback or evaluate performance, system and process.

Overnight stays may be required but in conversation with yourself.
Evening and weekend availability is expected in the summer months during live events to assist where necessary. This can be remote. Overtime is paid.
