London Lets Loose
Hyde Park once again opened its grand gates to usher in another year of music festivities and invited some of the biggest acts in the music industry to take over London. The globally renowned British Summertime unfolded from June 23rd to July 9th and saw the likes of Pink, Billy Joel, Black Pink, Lana Del Ray, Guns and Roses and Bruce Springsteen take the stage. Against the backdrop of a 65,000 people crowd, these icons graced the stage and lit up London. BST is a milestone event for Peppermint and needless to say we were excited to return once again this summer!
Our involvement at BST is far from sparse. We rallied an amazing team of 1,500 smiling staff members across 40 of our front of house retail bars.
Additionally, we operated 15 luxurious VIP and backstage areas, with a standout example being the Beach House, which radiated the ultimate summer vibes. Our customers nestled into plush outdoor seating surrounded by warm summer ambience, enjoying the finest refreshments whilst listening to their favourite act – that sounds like the dream to us!
We also loved working with our partners at Moet, Aperol, Peroni and White Claw too, operating some of their incredible bars that were full of uniqueness, excitement, and glamour. And our work didn’t stop there, we also helped 100+ food traders by providing them with seamless payment systems so no one was going hungry!
Among all the enjoyment that working at BST brings, the diversity of each day remains a cherished aspect for us. The art of concocting cocktails for Pink’s biggest admirers, in contrast to the rapid flow of kegs during Guns N’ Roses performance, is a challenge we thrive on. Our ability to adapt and remain flexible even when operating at such a large event, shone through, and we were proud for succeeding in catering for all the performers and their eclectic audiences.
