Black Deer Festival: Country music’s finest gather in Tunbridge Wells

The enchanting aroma of BBQ’s, the melodies of Americana and Blues consumed the air at this year’s Black Deer Festival. Located in the picturesque Eridge Park, Black Deer has firmly become one of the best UK independent festivals, and it’s continuing to grow year on year. As the summer sun blazed overhead, Black Deer saw 20,000 country lovers dance the weekend away, but don’t you worry, 300 litres of sun cream was applied!

We were heavily involved in helping Black Deer instil its unique, Americana vibe. Our contribution extended beyond just providing staff and stock for the bars, we also played a pivotal role in constructing them too. Our aim was to seamlessly transport festival goers who were listening to their favourite country band to an American bar for their refreshment.

Throughout the weekend, our fabulous staff poured 35,543 ice cold points and they lovingly hand-made 10,345 fresh cocktails, infusing each drink with the essence of the festival. For those seeking a quick, convenient pint, there was also the option of utilising the E-Bar, a self-service drink technology. The E-Bar made its Greenfield event debut and boy it was a success! The truly unique experience received awesome feedback which include the fact that it was a fast, no fuss process that produced a high-quality product. And we can’t help but mention that we also operated a plush VIP area so those who wanted to live that accentuated cowboy dream in style!

We were also committed to ensuring that the beautiful Eridge Park was not environmentally harmed, so we used the ONE Planet ONE Change Reusable Cup System. This meant that we could serve all our drinks with peace of mind and comfort, leaving the park in pristine condition.

Surrounding the stages and the bars, you could not help but get immersed in the chilled, laid-back feels. From exploring custom-built motorcycles and visiting tattoo parlours to partaking in skateboarding lessons and indulging in shopping at the beautiful markets, Black Deer catered to everyone’s taste. Every aspect of the festival wholeheartedly embraced the country theme, and we were so placed to be a part of its entirety.
