Stroll along the Thames as you explore one of London’s most magical winter wonderlands, complete with pop-up bars, street food stalls and independent craft traders

3rd November 2025 – 4th January 2026

11 am – 10 pm

We know the festive season has arrived when the Thames-adjacent Queen’s Walk is transformed into the magical Southbank Centre Winter Market, and this year event experts Peppermint (Between The Bridges) have come on board to deliver a whole new level of Christmas experience, making Southbank the number 1 destination for the festive season in London.

From Monday, 3rd November to Sunday, 4th January, the Southbank Centre’s riverside frontage will be lined with twinkling lights and alpine-style chalets. Eat, drink and be merry with their selection of pop-up bars, scrumptious street food and independent craft traders.

Joining the cohort of Winter Market chalets in 2025 includes savoury favourites, Oh My Dog! and The Duck Shed. Alongside these, you can enjoy Himalayan dumplings from Chulo Momo’s, guilt-free chicken wings from Baked Bird, Cheeseburger Perfection’s juicy smash burgers, the iconic and innovative Yorkshire Burritos, and Poor Boys’ Cajun-spiced sandwiches.

For those with a sweet tooth, Los Churos Amigos will keep you warm with their freshly fried churros, Blondies Kitchen are bringing their trendsetting cookies, Stacked is serving up delicious Dutch-style pancakes, and Bean & Blend will be there for a coffee or hot chocolate pick-me-up.

The Winter Market’s craft chalets are perfect for picking up unique gifts, including vegan skincare from Maxine & Boss, browsing Old Maps Library and Rusty Signs, and handmade accessories crafted by Maria Riberto, Handmade Stories and Dear Katiope.

Feeling thirsty? The Winter Market has a selection of five pop-up bars to quench your thirst, including The King’s Head and The Queen’s Head for festive pub pours, a cosy alpine escape at The Lodge, The Nog Inn serving retro charm and creative serves and The Winter Cellar, a cosy festive bar with delicious seasonal drinks.

Between The Bridges will also be launching a brand new event space – Wünder Bar, with a wide range of free events and family-friendly activities, including Christmas sing-alongs, festive Drag Brunches and much more!

About the Southbank Centre

The Southbank Centre is the UK’s largest multi-arts centre and engages the most diverse audiences of any performing arts organisation in the UK. Our biggest venue, the Royal Festival Hall (2,700 seats) is the lasting legacy of the 1951 Festival of Britain and the ambition and values of that project – that arts, ideas, innovation and culture can heal communities and should be available and accessible to everyone – are still our guiding principles today.

The Southbank Centre is uniquely able to offer a wide-ranging, inclusive and world-class artistic programme spanning contemporary visual arts, music, dance, performance, literature, comedy and spoken word across the Royal Festival Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall, Purcell Room, the Hayward Gallery and our free spaces. We are also home to the National Poetry Library, the National Academy for Social Prescribing (NASP), two resident organisations (Kinetika Bloco and Tomorrow’s Warriors) and six resident orchestras (Aurora Orchestra, Chineke! Orchestra, London Philharmonic Orchestra, London Sinfonietta, Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment and Philharmonia Orchestra).
